Since June 2024, we’ve been hosting events in The Grand on 10, adding another dimension to our venue’s ability to accommodate unique and large-scale productions. The Grand 1401 has been the proud home of Candlelight Concerts every month, proving that our ballrooms meet the high standards set by this global brand. The intricate architecture of our historic building, paired with the ambiance created by thousands of candles, makes each concert a mesmerizing experience. The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy: A Chilling and Captivating Night

One of our most unique events was The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy, a nationwide pop-up cocktail experience dedicated to the haunting tales of Edgar Allan Poe. This 21+ immersive event featured dramatic retellings of Poe’s most famous stories, paired with a four-part cocktail tasting that brought his chilling narratives to life.

Built between 1923 and 1924, The Grand 1401 was the perfect setting for this experience. With its historic details and vintage aesthetic, our venue naturally evoked the mysterious and intimate feel of a 1920s speakeasy. The event sold out, accommodating over 275 guests in The Grand on 10, proving that our venue’s character and capacity make it the perfect fit for high-profile experiential events.

Due to its overwhelming success, The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is returning in May of 2025, and we are thrilled to announce that they are looking to bring an ongoing monthly show to The Grand 1401.

The momentum from these events has only grown. On May 31st, 2025, Bingo Loco, an electrifying 3-hour interactive stage show, will make its way to The Grand 1401. Featuring high-energy dance-offs, lip-sync battles, rave rounds, confetti showers, and incredible prizes, this event is another example of how our venue is the ideal space for large-scale, high-energy productions. In fact, Bingo Loco is looking to establish a monthly show at The Grand 1401, bringing an exciting and recurring nightlife experience to Fresno.
